The Church of Santa María - The Organ
This is set above the walls of the
choir on the side of the Nave of the Gospel. It is a very important piece; its intricately
ornamented pipes, which make it appear an altarpiece, and the quality of its sound set it apart
from others of the same period. It was the work of Francisco Rodríguez in 1789.
The church of Santa María also had a musical chapel dating from the
beginning of the 17th century, whose prominence reached a height in the 18th century according to
the names of musicians and organists in the visitors’ book.
